The “Traveling Through Notes” project aims to promote the works of composers from Friuli Venezia Giulia Matteo Fanni Canelles, Giorgio Coslovich, Pavle Merkù, Corrado Rojac, and Giorgio Tortora. It features a series of three concerts in Sgonico, Cervignano del Friuli, and Trieste, where their compositions will be performed in various chamber music lineups, ranging from duos to trios. The performances will feature pianist Rosangela Flotta, flutists Zorana Beluševič (flute) and Ettore Michelazzi (flute and alto flute), and pianist and composer Matteo Fanni Canelles.

For this special occasion, Corrado Rojac has composed a piece for flute and piano, which will receive its absolute world premiere in Sgonico.

The core objective of the project is to promote classical music throughout the region, demonstrating that even contemporary classical repertoire can be accessible and engaging for a broad audience, rather than being restricted to specialists or connoisseurs. The rich and diverse program features modern pieces characterized by an immediate, clear, and highly enjoyable musical language.
