To celebrate this milestone, we have designed a series of special events: opportunities to reconnect, perform together, and look to the future with enthusiasm.  <\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s new for 2026<\/h2>\n<p>Announcing the launch of the \u201cLeonardo De Lorenzo\u201d International Composition Competition for Flute Ensemble, dedicated entirely to repertoire for flute ensembles.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/triesteflute.it\/en\/1st-international-composition-competition-for-flute-ensemble-leonardo-de-lorenzo\/\">Discover the competition<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Concerts<\/h2>\n<p>Trieste, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and international events.<br \/>\nFestival Previews: Monfalcone, Gradisca d\u2019Isonzo, and Povoletto.<\/p>\n<h2>Summer 2026<\/h2>\n<p>Three concerts by the Trieste Flute Ensemble:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Villesse<\/li>\n<li>Morsano al Tagliamento<\/li>\n<li>Trieste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>2 October 2026 | Trieste<\/h2>\n<p>Special event on the occasion of the 4th World March for Peace and Nonviolence.<\/p>\n<h2>4\u20137 December 2026 | the heart of the Festival<\/h2>\n<p>In December, Trieste will become the vibrant center of the Festival, hosting four days dedicated to the flute, music education, and networking between artists, students, and enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>A rich program of events featuring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Masterclasses and workshops<\/li>\n<li>Concerts and live performances<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities for musical connection and collaboration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>International guest artists<\/h3>\n<p>The Festival will welcome some of the most prominent performers on the international flute scene:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Walter Auer (Austria)<\/li>\n<li>Silvia Careddu (Italy)<\/li>\n<li>Oscar de Manuel (Spain)<\/li>\n<li>Matej Zupan (Slovenia)<\/li>\n<li>Australian Flute Ensemble (Australia)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Education and workshops<\/h3>\n<p>Our educational offerings will be enriched by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alexander Technique Workshop led by Antonella Benatti<\/li>\n<li>Workshop for Youth Flute Ensembles<br \/>\nA dedicated training path for young musicians, culminating in a final showcase concert featuring all participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The detailed program, registration procedures, and practical information will be available soon.<\/p>\n<h2>7 December 2026 | TriesteFluteDay_16<\/h2>\n<p>The Grand Finale of the Festival<br \/>\nThe closing day will feature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The award ceremony for the first edition of the \u201cLeonardo De Lorenzo\u201d International Composition Competition for Flute Ensemble.<\/li>\n<li>The absolute world premiere of the winning composition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>World premieres and special projects<\/h3>\n<p>During the evening, a new composition by Australian flutist and composer Monash Lal will be presented in its absolute world premiere, performed by Maestra Silvia Careddu.<\/p>\n<p>The program will continue with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performance by the Youth Ensemble<\/li>\n<li>Flute Flamenco<br \/>A brand-new performance blending the language of the flute with the sounds and rhythms of the flamenco tradition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>International Tour<\/h2>\n<p>Following the Festival, the Australian Flute Ensemble, in collaboration with the Trieste Flute Association, will continue its international tour with two appearances:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday, 8 December 2026: Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana (Slovenia)<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, 9 December 2026: \u201cBenedetto Marcello\u201d Conservatory of Music, Venice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Closing Events | January 2027<\/h2>\n<p>The Festival will draw to a close in January 2027 with a series of special events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sofia, New Bulgarian University<\/li>\n<li>Trieste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you to everyone who, over the years, has helped make this extraordinary journey possible.
